Walking, jogging, bird watching and kite flying

Wanstead Flats, originally the gateway to Epping Forest, is a great place to jog or stroll. There are ponds and lakes where you can see canadian black necked geese and a wide variety of ducks, swans, cootes..... It is a good place to fly a kite or watch the model aeroplane club which has been meeting at the flats since the 1930's.
