The only thing going for this hotel is it's central location.
Dislikes:
Tthe room was extremely small, the linen and bedding was of a very poor standard, walls and carpets worn and unkempt. The staff attitude was cursury and uninterested. T

One of our room was downstairs and next to the drain; so when someone in the house was using the toilet or the shower it sounds awful. In the other room the window couldn't be opened. Read less

good position; near to underground and oxford street
Dislikes:
everything except the position; coffee was drinkable, the rest of the breakfast adequate (one of us had a hair or something in his fried egg, after that we only ate toast)

The Garth Hotel is very well located, and the website displays pictures of very comfortably appointed rooms. The photos are misleading, at this point, as the hotel is in dire need of refurbishment. Most of the curtains need washing, the carpet should have been replaced long ago, and most of the woodwork needs to be freshly painted. However, the bed linen itself was clean, and the staff were friendly. The location is great. I would look in the same area for another hotel before going back. Read less

Our Bathroom has gone mouldy, it stinks and you risk serious diseases. There were mouse traps in the room. Furniture was rotten. The breakfast was poor, the service unfriendly. Read less

I was allocated the first floor - cannot remember the room no clearly but there is only one room on that floor. The door can only be half-opened as it is blocked by the end of the double bed. It is the size of a single room and they squeeze in a double bed. There is no space to walk around when door is open. Even when its closed its impossible to open a small suitcase.Room is covered bydirty carpet,wet, cold,full of mouldy smell.Bed is moudly wet,uncomfortable.Heatings not on,cold all night Read less
