Welcoming staff when arrived. Loved the room. The fireplace perfect. The little battery operated candle, cute. Wmonly one worked but it was a great nite light..it flickers like a flame. Again nice.
Dislikes:
The hot water pressure was a trickle. But not too bad for one night stay. The water temperatures were great for the bath perfect pressure. Only the sink.

Clean and well prepared room, lots of space. Fantastic breakfast but not starting until 9am means most travelling for work cannot enjoy it (i only was able on day two).
Dislikes:
Shame not to have mentioned at booking the kitchen and bar closing early on a Sunday evening but Just Eat/Deliveroo available and brought to room. Earlier breakfast option.

Likes:
Highlight was the staff who were all lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was lovely too, clean and designed well with some lovely furniture pieces. Really enjoyed the whole stay.
Dislikes:
Only thing I think of as missing from the rooms were some eye level hooks for coats/long suits/dresses.

1. No fires in the rooms - main reason we book, it creates such a relaxing evening snuggled by the fire. We didn’t understand (or have an explanation) as to why a fire wasn’t covid safe
2. no hairdryers - again due to covid??? other hotels still have them for use
3. no late checkout - ok due to extra cleaning but website needs upda Read less

Part of the experience of a break that we enjoy is a very nice leisurely breakfast. In this case the restaurant was closed in the morning the only breakfast available was prepacked left in room
