The location is great, central London, walkable to the city and also on a quiet street. The pub is very nice, also has a wonderful little basement where they put on gigs. The room was lovely and cosy.

"A classical English inn with charm and good service."
A classical English inn: pub with 4 guestrooms, 10 min walk from StPancras station, in very quiet residential area. As in all similar inns in UK: smallish room, very good bed & good climate control (windows can be opened), small functional bathroom (the usual UK power shower with OK temperature control and pressure), at the top of 2 flights of stairs. No elevator. The pub does a wide array of beers, a very good range of wines, and good honest food. Excellent breakfast. Cosy & lively atmosphere. Read less

The Harrison is an independently owned freehouse, set in a quiet leafy residential street just south of the bustle of Kings Cross. It has been lovingly restored in keeping with the building’s Art Deco flair to create a light and airy modern bar. Locally renowned for its food, The Harrison serves high quality modern English cuisine at a reasonable price.

The Harrison has four stylishly refurbished en-suite hotel rooms for the business or leisure traveller.

Kings Cross has undergone a massive rejuvenation in the past 10 years and now features an increasing number of attractions and cultural establishments. The new British Library (5 min walk) has on display some of the world's most famous written and printed items, such as the Magna Carta (1215), Shakespeare's First Folio & original Beatles lyrics.

Near The Harrison, the Foundling Museum (5 min walk) tells the story of London's first home for abandoned babies. Also the Charles Dickens House Museum is a few minutes walk away through the beautiful historic Mecklenburgh Square. The cutting-edge Gagosian Modern Art Gallery (5 min walk) regularly features free exhibitions such as Giacometti, Damien Hurst or Jeff Koons. The area also features a number of restaurants, bars, music venues, clubs and theatres.

To the north you can walk along the canal to Camden Town or up Pentonville hill to the Angel, Islington.

To the south lies the attractive Bloomsbury district, famous for its literary history, leafy squares and book shops. There is also the world famous British Museum (10 min walk) which houses a huge collection of cultural treasures from around the world, including Egyptian mummies and the Elgin Marbles. Past the museum lies Tottenham Court Road (20 min walk), Soho and the West End Theatres
