Hotel is quiet. There used to be breakfast included but with Covid that has changed. It suited to go out anyway.
Dislikes:
I was surprised to find the hotel was partially closed. I normally leave my case when I check out but had to find a luggage storage place instead.

We booked the Thanet hotel because of positive reviews and our grat experience 3 years ago. This time however, , the rooms were filthy, the furniture damaged and there was no breakfast (not announced and we did pay for it). When we talked to the 1 person present on site (very busy with his phonecalls) we were referred to the management. After having sent several mails we received the proposal of getting a discount at next booking. A place to avoid (unfortunately)... Read less

The hotel is very well located - it is close to the bus and underground stations but also by foot all main attractions can be easily reached.
Dislikes:
As explained in the description of our stay this hotel has severely decreased in quality. Moreover, the management remained silent which, implicitely, means that guests are not important enough.

At least it was quiet.

Run down, ripped carpet, missing light bulbs, cracked and missing tile grout, tiniest shower ever seen, smelly, lack of professional greeting, no breakfast mentioned.

The large windows, the friendly welcome.
Dislikes:
Not having anyone in the building overnight. You post a number to call in emergencies, but Not Everyone Has A Smart Phone. & Electronic systems are not reliable. Telephone in rm 3 not working.

Room was big enough for two people, comfortable beds and very clean room. Very good breakfast and very kind and pleasant staff.
Dislikes:
The bathroom is maybe a little bit small and you could add some pastries in the breakfast.

Location of the hotel near the center.
Dislikes:
spacious room to accommodate us with our three grandchildren, but the glass roof does not completely obscure the light in the morning and would have been source of noise if it had rained at night

A pleasing quiet street perfect for the British Museum. An exceptionally good breakfast, cooked to order.
