Very quirky, particularly the extremely lively entertainment in the bar most evenings.
Loved walking out of the door and being right in the middle of Hampstead.
Comfy, clean bed and lots of towels
Dislikes:
Getting in and out of the shower a bit of a challenge

Location, location, location - charming rooms above a historic traditional pub right in the centre of Hampstead. Generous room size, good bathroom. Simple, clean and friendly.
Dislikes:
Only one minor improvement suggestion: a bedside table and lamp would be useful.

Only spent 2 nights in this lovely hotel but wish it had been more. We didn't eat breakfast so can't comment on that but everything else was perfect. Every member of staff were professional and friendly and could not do enough for you. The facilities were first class but the rooms were exceptional. They were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone. Read less

Loved the bed. Room was clean if a little bit tired. Staff very friendly.
Dislikes:
Room was a little bit pricey for what we got but would stay here again if we are inn the area. Noise from pub below was quite loud but to be expected. No complaints about that.

After 10 we decided to go and get a coffee somewhere. would have been nice if they had offered something but clearly the bar person didn't have it in his remit or skill set. it was a small room at the front with the obvious traffic and noise from footfall and pub below. it quietened down after midnight but windows could do with replacing. the bed was comfortable and clean. the manager was pleasant and courteous.
Dislikes:
The ensuite had been over exposed to bleach so much so that we found ourselves holding our breath. the tv only had bbc1 and 2 and then the digital signal kept breaking.Nobody at checking out sadly.

Lovely charactful pub and room. Cosy.
Comparitvely good value for money,p. Especially for 2 people
Dislikes:
Reception was friendly but they did not have my reservation until I could prove it by showing the email confirmation. Victorian plumbing very noisy!
