I wanted a gay friendly place in Hampstead & this was ideal. The staff is young, energetic & friendly, crowds are mixed & friendly also. The first night a string quarter played (in a pub, no less!) & the second night they hosted a lively fundraiser for lgbtq+ senior services. It's smack in the middle of Hampstead (a huge plus) & even though there are plenty of posh shops & restaurants around, it hasn't lost its original pub charm. I'll definitely go back. Read less

The location is superb. The food was decent pub fare. Great atmosphere & interesting, friendly crowd in the evenings.
Dislikes:
It's on busy High St which is quite loud at night. I had to keep the windows open since of it was blazing hot but that also let in the sound & made it tough to sleep. I wish they had offered a fan.

We stayed on a Tuesday night to go for a gig. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was exactly as described and looked better than the pictures. Nice little balcony to watch the world go by! The road can be quite noisy, but that’s fine with us. Location is absolutely perfect, and so easy to travel to/from. To make clear, this is NOT a swanky boutique hotel, but is clean/tidy and they have made an effort. For the money, it’s perfect! Read less

The location just in the center of Heampstead, the good pub under the rooms, the nearby bus an tube stations, the many cafes and restaurants arround, the good twin beds in our room.
Dislikes:
The bath is a horror: Nearly no water is coming out of the shower and it is always changing between too hot and too cold. There are no hooks in the bath, no way to hang the towels.
