Likes: Location and friendliness of proprietor. Great breakfast. Laid back attitude. Nice stay.
Dislikes: Only one thing was, we could have done with a shower curtain or shield while in the bath. Minor but it would have been nice.

Our host Guy was very friendly and welcoming, although he wasn't there when we first arrived. He had tried to contact me by e-mail on the day we travelled down (but it went to junk) and phone, but withheld his number so my phone rejected his call. Fortunately another guest showed us the way round and contacted Guy so we could put our luggage in the room. Read less
Likes: The building is a beautiful and very old house, so full of character. Set well off the beaten track in a lovely rural setting. Guy offered a lovely breakfast, full English, home cooked bread, cereals
Dislikes: The age of the house does not excuse the lack of cleaning or the untidiness in the guest reception areas. The breakfast room floor was sticky, windows mended with cardboard and generally grubby.
