Disappointing. Not unfriendly but quality of room/facilities made it feel like a dreary youth hostel. We felt as if we were staying in a stranger's abandoned spare bedroom with dated décor and lamps that did not work. It felt old and unclean and the room was very cold. There were no tea/coffee making facilities and not even any drinking water. We were offered breakfast in the morning for free and the gentleman behind reception was not unfriendly. This hotel is in serious need of an uplift. Read less

A bit of location, 30 minutes to the city center.But very close to the railway station( Illford)

Stayed for 4 nights, when we arrived-no welcome, room stunk, carpet sticky, bathroom absolutely disgustingly dirty, no plug for sink, no holder for shower, curtains didnt shut properly or open properly, 3 very fuzzy channels on tv, which the colour didnt work on, beds seemed clean enough. The whole time we stayed nobody cmae in and emptied bins, changed towels or even attempted to clean room. Breakfast was 1 sausage, 1 hash brown, beans 1 egg and 2 toast. Read less

The was a loud doorbell that had to be rung when anyone wanted help at the front desk. This bell was situated outside our room!! So just as we were getting to sleep each night it would wake us up.
